Discovering Angelique Boudet’s pictures produces an immediate emotion similar to that of reading — the images, framed by the artist, tell a unique story, translated by spiritual words or secretly kept deep in one’s heart.

The light of the objects, the shadow of the stones, the fugitive colour of the landscapes, the brightness of the meeting offer moments to “read”. The yellowish ochre colour of earth peers through darkness.

The writings together with the images, chosen by Angelique Boudet, are extracted from Italian literary works.

Initially, one might think they are meant to bring our perception of the image to light : they are not. Side by side with the image, they can be read separately and have great powers. In particular, the power that allows us to enter the cultural world of talented authors and to discover a country.

In fact, it is because the writings maintain a special link with the image, that we find in them an echo.

The literary promenade may now begin...
